Certified by the State Bar of California since 1948, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association Attorney Referral Service provides reputable attorney referrals in Los Angeles County and Ventura County.
The San Fernando Valley Bar Association’s Attorney Referral Service (ARS) gives members an opportunity to build their practice in any substantive practice area and provide individuals and businesses who need legal counsel or information with experienced and qualified attorneys who meet their legal needs.
The SFVBA Attorney Referral Service provides attorney referrals for members of the public in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

ARS Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Membership is an individual membership and is extended to an attorney who:
- is licensed to practice law by the State of California;
- is a member in good standing with the State Bar of California;
- regularly maintains offices in Los Angeles County or Ventura County;
- has met the qualification standards for all panels applied to;
- maintains a minimum level of malpractice insurance of $100,000 – $300,000;
- agrees to all provisions of the ARS Application and Agreement for Membership;
- agrees to an initial up to 30 minute client consultation at no charge;
- agrees to remit 15% of attorney fees received to ARS.

How ARS Works
- Public requests a referral to an attorney through online request form or by calling ARS office.
- Potential clients are screened to determine solvency an basic case viability.
- Attorney receives email or call with client information.
- Attorneys then create their own consultation appointment with clients.
- For retained clients, attorney completes an easy monthly report and submits 15% percentage fees (earned fees) to the ARS.
